Head Deacon & Minister of finance David Pierce

Currently serving at Harvest as the Minister of Finance since February 2014, Chairman of the Deacons (ordained as a Deacon in January 1989), Tech Ministry, and I teach the Prime Time Sunday School class. I graduated from Valley High School in 1977 and Faith Bible College in 1988 with a Bachelor of Theology.

My Story

Saved at the age of 19 in July 1978 at Harvest, and have served in many rolls to include the following: Children’s Pastor leading in Children’s Church worship, and as the Awana Commander. I established our first Children’s Church shortly after graduation from Bible College under the leadership of then Pastor Ron Frederic in 1988 till January 2000, and again in a later period. Under the leadership of then Pastor Jack Alumbaugh I started the Awana Ministry at Harvest in October of 1993 and served as the Commander until December of 2001. I help out with maintenance around the property and other needs as they arise.

December 27th 1980, Teri (Teressa Swope) and I were married by our founding Pastor Fred Harmon. We have two daughters, two sons-in-law, two granddaughters and one grandson. I worked in two professional photo labs in the late 1970s to early 1980s for five years total. I served in the Kentucky Air National Guard from 1980 - 2002 (Retired), and also retired from UPS after employment from February 2001 - October 2021. I currently hold an FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s License and an FAA Airframe and PowerPlant Certificate.

Hobbies include photography (NYIP Graduate), electronics, welding, computers, mechanics, fixing (or attempting to) it if it’s broke, woodworking, etc. Or as some would say, Jack of all trades, master of…(You do the math). I enjoy life, laughter, family, studying the Bible, serving at Harvest and much, much more!
